Metamateriale utilizate ca ecrane electromagnetice
Activitatea mea in acest domeniu a constat in modelarea numerica si masurarea capacitatii de ecranare a panourilor chiral-fagure (structura hexa-chiral). Activitatea a fost in cadrul contractului de cercetare FP6 STRP 013641 CHISMACOMB in colectivul de cercetare condus de prof. dr. ing. Romeo Ciobanu, Facultatea de Electrotehnica, Iasi, in perioada 2006-2008

CST Microwave Studio o fost utilizat in simulari. Fenomene legate de transmisie, reflexie, absorbtie a undelor electromagnetice au fost atinse.
Echipamentul utilizat pentru masuratori a fost compus din:
- E8257 PSG Analog Signal Generator, frequency domain: 250 kHz to 40 GHz
- E7405A EMC spectrum analyzer, frequency domain: 9 kHz to 26.5 GHz, 1 Hz to 5 MHz (including 200 Hz, 9 kHz, 120 kHz, 1 MHz EMI BW), +12.5 dBm TOI, dynamic range: -150 dBm to +30 dBm.
- ETS Lindgren 3115 Horn antennas, frequency domain: 1GHz - 18GHz; maximum power: 300 W; VSWR < 1.5 : 1; impedance: 50 O; type N connector.
- ETS Lindgren GTEM Cell, frequency domain: max 18GHz; max. h = 1.25 m
Au fost realizati absorbanti de microunde complecsi, (Salisbury Screen, Jaumann Layers) si au fost certificate prin masuratori performante foarte bune in aplicatiile de ecranare in domeniul microundelor pentru structurile hexachiral.
